Physical Folk is about storytelling. Every culture, community, group or individual has a story to tell. We provide a platform for people to share their stories through a range of mediums including film, immersive media and performing arts. We facilitate the sharing of skills and experiences to support and equip those who are new to filmmaking or at the early stages of their media/film career. We believe empowering people to be creative together nurtures community-feeling and cohesion and gives them the confidence to continue creating.

We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, to share their skills and grow their community together.

Below is a short promotional film made by unemployed 16 to 24 year olds we worked with as part of a ESF and ESFA funded project to enable them to gain employment. The young filmmakers used editing skills they learnt as part of Blackmagic Design’s Davinci Resolve certified training. This is not our film, it is the film of a new generation of media creators.
